Sarah Thomas Moffat, CSC member and award nominee, has lit and lensed every genre.  Serving 20 years in the film and television industry, she has tasked every job there is to do. Sarah’s focus in the camera department started in commercials, and branched through to features as an underwater technician. Moving between being freelance AC and rental house technician, Sarah gathered incredible knowledge over time.  Her focus on placing herself as a Director of Photography came through determination and commitment. These assets have lead Sarah to DP feature documentaries, broadcast commercial and factual content, and narrative award winning films.

Sarah has travelled through Europe, Africa, North and South America, and into the Caribbean, with ambitions to reach both poles in her career. Underwater cinematography and extreme environments are just some of the specialties listed in her skill set. Sarah also writes technical columns in Canadian Cinematographer and others, while running her own blog (www.teckvlog.com).  Sarah is a Canon Northern Explorer of Light and lectures nationally on technology, and also creates cinematography workshops.
